Jayhawk Audubon Society October Program
October 26, 2015 - 7:30 p.m. - Free to the public
Trinity Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall, 1245 New Hampshire, Lawrence KS
The Jayhawk Audubon Society’s October program will feature a trio of impassioned river paddlers. Dawn Buehler, the new Kansas Riverkeeper for the Friends of the Kaw (FOK), will be joined by long-time members, Mike and Laura Calwell, to present the program “Friends of the Kaw: Past, Present, and Future.” The program will feature the formation, accomplishments, and future plans of the organization dedicated to the Kansas River. Highlights will be FOK’s ongoing efforts to improve recreation on the river, and to move commercial in-river dredgers to pit mines on land. Come hear their vision for our river.
