The Jayhawk Audubon Society’s April 25th program will feature Christine Kline, Vice President of Burroughs Audubon Society. Christine will present "Wings Over Weston: A Birding Festival in a Unique Niche.” She will relate to members how what was planned as a one-time event to spread the word about the Iatan/Weston River Corridor Important Bird Area has become the largest birding festival in Missouri and Kansas. The festival, put on by Burroughs and Missouri State Parks, introduces birds, their migration, and the importance of habitat conservation to children, the birders of tomorrow.
Please join the Jayhawk Audubon Society to learn about this important local birding event. The program is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be provided.
