Fire the Fool Rally

Description: Join Kansas Indivisible and Elem Technologies on April 1st on the stairs of the Capitol building in Topeka to help us make a statement that we want to fire the fools in Washington. We will stand up and say that we will hold our government accountable. We will even fill out "pink slips" for the fools we want to fire and deliver them to their offices after the event. Be sure to print one, fill it out and bring it with you (they're in the photo section of the event page at We will also have speakers who will talk about the affect Trump has had on our country, and what we can do to stop the Trump administration right here at home. The event will feature numerous speakers from the area, including: * Thomas Witt, Kansas Democratic Party’s Progressive Caucus Chair, and Executive Director of Equality Kansas * Elise Higgins, Regional Director of Public Policy and Organizing, Planned Parenthood Great Plains * Stephanie Mott, Executive Director, Kansas Statewide Transgender Education Project * Omar Hazim, Imam, Islamic Center of Topeka * Dan Brennan, Executive Director, Capitol City Equality Center of Topeka * Joe Cheray, Brand New Congress Kansas Lead Organizer * Nathan Schmidt – Kansas Democratic Committee There will also be entertainment, including the local band “Under the Covers.” The organizers plan to have local food trucks available for attendees, including Snoutherns Food Truck, and Mr. Nice Guy's Hot Box.
