Delano Lewis Introduces His Memoir

About The Author:
Growing up in a segregated Kansas community in the 50’s, Delano Lewis felt isolated and questioned his ability to compete. The son of a railroad porter and stay-at-home mom, he learned to overcome these feelings and went on to lead a life full of accomplishments. With a college degree from the University of Kansas and a law degree from the Washburn School of Law, Lewis became a successful attorney, businessman and diplomat. He was the CEO of NPR for five years, and held leadership roles in companies such as Apple, Colgate-Palmolive and Kodak. In 1999, he was nominated by President Clinton to become US Ambassador to South Africa, where he served from 1999-2001.
He now resides in Las Cruces, NM with his wife, Gayle, together they have 4 sons and 11 grandchildren. For more information visit:
