The American Cancer Society estimates that more than 60,000 Americans are diagnosed with oral, head and neck cancer each year.  Although there are more than 40,000 survivors of oral, head and neck cancer living in the United States, many of the survivors continue to suffer from the side effects of treatment.  Getting adequate nutrition is an important challenge for survivors of head and neck cancer.  These chefs will prepare nutritious food that both cancer survivors and others will enjoy.  The University of Kansas Cancer Center Oral, Head and Neck Cancer Support Group sponsors this unique tasting event to create more awareness of this difficult disease.  Come enjoy sampling delicious, nutritious soups and food.
