Description: Shelly Prichard, president and CEO of the Wichita Community Foundation, will discuss the book “Being Mortal: Medicine and What Matters in the End” at 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 7. “Being Mortal” by Atul Gawande addresses the issues regarding end-of-life care. Gawande demonstrates how people may live and pass away with dignity. The event is part of Friends University's “Those Who Lead, Read” program, a monthly speaker series that engages students and the Wichita community in a timely discussion about literacy and leadership.
