Description: Kerry Smith – “Off the Record” Contemporary Gouache & Oil Stick Paintings + New Prints & Editions and Ceramics August 4 – August 27 , 2017 Opening Reception August 4, 6-9pm Collectors Reception August 4, 4-6pm R.S.V.P. 2011 Baltimore Ave, Kansas City, MO 64108 This exhibition is curated by Cerbera Gallery. In the front of the gallery “Off the Record“ by Kerry Smith features contemporary Gouache & Oil Stick Paintings with a Rock ‘n’ Roll attitude. Off The Record is a series of record album art. It combines Smith’s love for album art, graphic design and fine art. The series was inspired by Beck’s 2015 Grammy award for best album. This will be Kerry Smith’s first Solo Exhibition in Kansas City. His work can be found in private and public collection as well as museums around the country and his latest Off the Records series has drawn nationwide attention. Smith is especially proud to have work installed at the Wilco Loft in Chicago, IL. The artist will be attending the opening reception, so make sure you will join us on First Friday, August 4th between 4-9pm at Cerbera Gallery in the Crossroads, KCMO. Ceramic works on display include new First Friday arrivals by Mitchell Spain, Daniela Abel, Steven Young Lee and Melanie Sherman. Arrived just in time for our new Salon are works by painters Hans Habeger and Keith Young, works on paper by Ron English, Jean Tinguely, Hans Hartung and Tamara Walker, ceramic works by Yoonjee Kwak, Rain Harris, Joanna Powell as well as a large selection of jewelry by artists such as Cydney Ross, Sam McPherson, Angelica Sandoval, House of DeBoer, Carly Slade, Jen Watson and Jen Wilkenson. For all press inquires and group visits, contact Philipp Eirich at info@cerberagallery.com.
