The annual Symphony at Sunset D-Day Commemoration Concert will be held Saturday, June 6 – the 71st Anniversary of D-Day – on the steps of the Eisenhower Presidential Library in Abilene. The 35th Infantry Division Band (Kansas National Guard) will open the concert at 7 p.m. followed by the Salina Symphony headlining at 8:30 p.m. This patriotic concert pays tribute to all veterans. Those attending the concert are invited to bring lawn chairs or blankets and to picnic on the grounds. Food and beverages will be available from area vendors beginning at 5:30 p.m. More information and directions are at their website.

The Art of the Car Concours is a benefit for the Kansas City Art Institute scholarship fund. The Concours features more than 200 vintage, classic, and special interest vehicles, including cars, trucks, race cars, motorcycles and pedal cars. In 2015, the exhibition will present historic concept/dream cars from major manufacturers. The vehicles are showcased Sunday, June 28, on the grounds of the Kansas City Art Institute, 45th and Warwick streets, near the Kemper Museum of Art. Learn more at their website.
