Michael Wilhoite, in his first year with the San Francisco 49ers, is a back-up linebacker. A 25-year old native of Topeka, Wilhoite was a three-year captain at Washburn University, where he earned honorable mention all-MIAA honors as a senior after recording 81 tackles. Cary Williams is a starting cornerback for the Baltimore Ravens. He’s in his fifth NFL season and third with the Ravens. He had four interceptions this year, including one he returned 63 yards for a touchdown. He also played for the Washburn Ichabods. So, whoever wins on Sunday, Washburn University will have a Super Bowl winning alumnus.
