(Flickr Photo via tleparskas) Stanley Sheldon was born in Ottawa on Sept. 19, 1950. Sheldon is a musician and a songwriter and was one of the early-adopters of the fretless bass for rock music. While he’s performed with many other talented musicians, he’s perhaps best known as the bass player for Peter Frampton. Sheldon’s first recorded work with Frampton was in 1976 on the wildly successful live album Frampton Comes Alive! Sheldon, who now lives in Lawrence, is currently on tour with Peter Frampton. When he’s not touring, he teaches music – providing bass guitar lessons at Blues to Bach Music Center in Shawnee, Kan.
