The Olympic Games - February 7, 2014

Q: This Great Bend native is an opera singer and a voice instructor at Kansas State University. But lately, he’s been working in Sochi, Russia - helping to produce the opening ceremony for the Winter Olympics. What’s his name?

Great Bend native Bryan Pinkall is a trained opera singer and a voice instructor at Kansas State University. According to The Wichita Eagle, Pinkall is one of just two Americans selected to work on the 250-member team producing the opening ceremony for the Olympic Games in Sochi, Russia. The 28 year old is a 2013 graduate of the University of Missouri-Kansas City Conservatory of Music and Dance.
