Kansas Trivia: Actors and Entertainers

Q: Character actor Roy Glenn had a career in radio, TV and film spanning five decades.  He appeared on numerous radio programs, including The Jack Benny Show and Amos ‘n’ Andy.  He also had movie roles in films such as A Raisin in the Sun and Guess Who’s coming to Dinner.  Where, in Kansas, was Roy Glenn born?

Character actor Roy Glenn was born on June 3, 1914, in Pittsburg, Kansas. His career, which lasted through five decades, began in radio. He made appearances on popular programs like Amos 'n’ Andy and The Jack Benny Show. He also made numerous TV appearances. His film work included roles in A Raisin in the Sun and Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner. He died in California in 1971 at the age of 56.
