I know it sometimes feels like this election cycle has gone on for years. As someone who covers it virtually every day, I feel that way, too. However, the big day is almost here!

Some of you may have already voted early, but Election Day is coming up November 6.

If you’re still making up your mind about candidates or want to know more about issues, the Kansas News Service partnership has provided a non-stop series of stories on important topics and the people asking for your vote.

We’ve had many daily updates on the campaign and politics, as well as weekly roundtable segments.

In addition, I took a close look at the education proposals from the top candidates for governor to see if they add up.

Other Kansas News Service reporters analyzed the economic plans from the candidates for governor and scrutinized a health care plan pushed by Secretary of State Kris Kobach.

For an in-depth look at the campaign for governor and the issues playing a part in that race, Jim McLean has been producing the podcast My Fellow Kansans.

KNS staff have also compiled an election roundup outlining the major races in Kansas and what’s at stake.

That’s just scratching the surface of what we’ve covered this election cycle. It’s an important election year in Kansas and the nation, and we’ve been working to keep you informed about the issues on the table and the candidates on the ballot.
