Conversations: Edward Hess, "Humility is the New Smart"

Are you ready for the Smart Machine Age? Business professor Edward D. Hess, from the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia, points to research showing that over the next two decades technological advances will displace as many as 80 million jobs or 47 percent of the U.S. workforce. How will society adapt to the new reality and provide for displaced workers?  On this edition of Conversations, I talk with Ed Hess about his book Humility is the New Smart: Rethinking Human Excellence in the Smart Machine Age. Hess believes the key to success in this new era is not to be more like machines but to embrace the best of what makes us human.
